Howard Industries Is a great business to work for if you are single or married with no or very limited living and family responsibilities, especially if you desire a better salary and want overtime pay. However, I can't speak as well about the demands placed on their supervisory staff and employees, and it must be extensive to demand and not ask that their employees work overtime to ensure work production. Women with children are in there from sun up until sun down, hardly having time with their family to take care of regular living arrangements (pay bills); to make sure the health of their minor children is up to date (check ups), and ensuring that educational Enrolments are complete for their children to attend school(registering). It's impossible if youre always at work from 6-6pm or 7 and sometimes 8. Schools are closed by then and so are bill collecting agencies and health offices. Additionally, caretakers are charging extensive amounts to watch the kids for long periods of time which almost defeats overtime pay, and the parents or employees for this company expect caretakers to assume the parental role of caring for the child's every basic, primary, personal and required need. Employees have limited personal time to take off, I think it's 2 days while on probation and three or more days after that. Each day missed after that, I believe that the days absent takes 90 or 60 days to roll off. If you miss all of the days that you're given before getting more, you're forced to resign to save yourself the embarrassment of being escorted out because of being fired. If you're fired and depending on what, you can't return for 90 days. If you resign you may be able to return in 30 days. Whatever the case, something should be done to eliminate the hours these employees work. After 8 hours, those parents with kids should be able to leave and go take care of their children. Mandatory need after 8, should not cause employees who can't stay to be written up or fired.
