I tried to write a review for Crossfit prime about a year prior and I just couldn't do it. My words aren't going to do my experience here justice. I'll try anyway. It's the least I can do for a gym that has played a major role in improving my life over the past two and half years.
I walked into Prime in April 2012, 30 pounds heavier, a washed up average athlete in his late 20s. I just wanted to feel good again about myself. Figured working out was a good place to start.
I was intimidated, nervous and had no idea what to expect. All I knew is guys from my 2008 fire academy class have sought this out a year prior. These are guys who I was on an equal playing field with during the academy. I'll put this mildly and say they were beginning to leave me in the dust. They were walking billboards for this place just by their physical changes alone.
The nervousness and intimidation I felt was self inflicted. I couldn't have walked into a more caring, loving and positive atmosphere. The best part about Crossfit Prime is you'll get out of this place what you put into it. And if you're lacking the motivation to get started or having a bad day. The community and trainers will support you and guide you back on track.
Life changing sounds so cliche, but for me, there's no better words to describe my experience with Prime.
You would think I get paid to promote this place, which I don't haha. If you get curious enough to check it out, looking for a change, want to be motivated. I would highly recommend it.
And honestly I don't have to promote this place. It promotes itself. You won't be disappointed and won't be able to workout again the same. Here I found out what I'm truly capable of...what's that? I don't know, and that's because I believe there is no ceiling for anyone if your apart of a gym like this. My only suggestion is to show up, be consistent, learn the movements and get intense later.
