I don t even know where to start.. my person and I...

I don t even know where to start.. my person and I married each other on September 5th of this year,( 2020), and it has taken until now to find words that actually come close to encompassing what a wonderful human and coordinator and just so many things that Sarah is, and just how much she made it possible for us to be able to be fully present with each other on our day so we could soak up all of the precious moments of it..the OG plan for getting married was planned over a year in advance and was supposed to be in Portland OR,(my hometown). And then like for everyone else, celebrating literally any important life event, it wasn t possible anymore in the way we had originally planned and imagined it,( that process, again, like for most of us out there is a whole other story in and of itself!). My husband and I realized that for us, being able to officially get married and to celebrate being each other s family was something we couldn t not still do. We knew that it was vital to find the safest possible way to do this. We realized and adjusted to so many things.. this meant that we couldn t celebrate in Portland, that we needed to be outside and not indoors, that we would be celebrating near where we live in Brooklyn, that our parents and relatives and most of our loved ones who were out of town, had compromised immune systems, or were elderly,( any, and/or all), couldn t be with us in person, my dad couldn t walk me down the aisle in person..and more. We grieved that and then we got to do something so special, and something that Sarah was integral in helping make happen-we had to get creative with how to celebrate our love. I immediately started scouring the internet to try and find someone who could help us leading up to and on our day, I was looking and looking and then I found Pollyanna Events, and I exhaled, because what I saw was inclusive love being celebrated in ways unique to each couple and who they were, their whole website was about diversity, equality and inclusion- which Kevin and I feel is vital, it is about two humans coming together in their love for one another full stop. I reached out to Sarah and heard back pretty much right away and we hopped on a video call with her. From our first communication and all the way through our day, Sarah was calm and genuinely caring, responsive and helpful.. she helped us figure out the hugely important piece of being able to zoom in family and the bridal party.. planned for and executed our day in the safest way possible, was wonderful with our guests and other venders..collected,( from our apt the morning of), and artfully arranged all of our sourced items together with the fantastic Sam of Florescent for our flowers..she was with us every step of the way, ensured that my dad was able to virtually walk me down the aisle, that our parents could virtually toast us, seamlessly transitioned us into the reception .. just so many things..she came to me at one point near the end of the reception and was such a presence of calm and let me know we were running a little behind and as soon as I let her know I was okay to adjust and how I wanted to do that, she was completely on top of communicating with everyone to help make it happen.. and then when my husband and I left with our photographer to take sunset pics at Prospect Park, she made sure everything was packed up for us and that we could go back the next day to pick it up and not have to worry about it that night. We love Sarah and are seriously more thankful than we can articulate to her and the Pollyanna team.. wonderful humans.. cannot recommend them highly enough. (Also, for Sarah- this is Rachel posting, our wedding email is connected to Kevin s name only apparently.. oh 2020..)
