Our fireplace has had the paint rust away at the bottom(less than 18 months after being installed), the solution from the rep was to re-paint it(at our cost). We had a masport in our last house for more than 15 years and never had this issue. Would avoid the powder coated models. Interestingly Woodsman sell the touch up paint? Not a good sign
