ALERT TO ALL THAT NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION - STEER CLEAR OF THIS HOSPITAL !!!!! It s a shame that I am forced to give one star to review this hospital. If given the opportunity, I would choose zero stars. After hours, I was diagnosed with a respiratory infection by a PA, not by the one doctor they had on duty. I was not prescribed an antibiotic, I was told to use NyQuil. When I questioned the PA if there was a doctor present to access me, she said yes, but he s very busy . I could hear him joking and carrying on with other staff, but he was too busy to see patients? The PA (Leslie, the most inept PA I ve ever come across) proceeded to tell me that my blood work showed elevated liver numbers. When I asked her to explain that she said it could represent Hepatitis B, but I would have to follow up with my PC as they (Habersham Medical Center) did not have capabilities to test for it. Huh? Most backwards place I ve ever been. Also note the common theme of most every review regarding Habersham Medical.... everyone was treated by a PHYSICIAN S ASSISTANT. Where are the DOCTORS? Are PAs a cheaper alternative? Hmmm.
