The Venetian is conveniently located mid-strip, close to shops, other resorts and amenities.

One of its pool deck is newly renovated and is lovely, albeit a bit busy.

The rooms are a bit older - to be expected from a well established hotel - but clean and spacious. Our rooms are right across the Mirage and we could watch the volcano show from our windows, which was amazing.

Someone also stand guard to enter to go to the rooms/pool and you have to tap your key card to get in, which I think is a good security feature.

Minus one star for:
- hotel room is a bit dated
- snacks and bar in the room has a sensor and if you remove something you ll get charged after 20 seconds. The bar is fully stocked so you can t really store your own drinks/snacks in the fridge. Also, no in-room coffee.
- we had to enter the suites by going through the casino when we checked in, and it still smelled of smoke.
