My wife and I baby our 4Runner. It's a 2013.
It has 92K miles. We drive it only about 12-14K a year. We are used to running our Toyotas to 250K+ miles.

Took it in for oil change and tire balance with rotation. Simple run of the mill maintenance. The service department calls me and says they broke something off in the oil filter area, and it would be $60 more for me to replace what they broke. Supposedly whoever's did my last oil change put the filter on too hard.

The vehicle always ran smooth, we dont skimp in any service.... Sure. Replace it I tell them.

And I get it home and the 4Runner now is shaking violently in Neutral and Park. Not sure what's going on. I will keep y'all posted.

I have never experienced someone else breaking something, charging you extra. And then handing you back the vehicle in worse condition than it had ever been in.

And what's awesome is they show they replaced the part, but not that they broke it on the paperwork. That's shady.
