My Experience with FLVS has been a mixed bag. Some classes I have taken where very fun and I learned something, While in other classes the learning experience has been bad for a variety of different reasons. While sometimes the reason for my bad learning experience has been my teachers, there are other times where the material itself did not make any scene, but my teachers did all they could to help.

So here is my rule of thumb for FLVS, if the class is absolutely critical (This is not so much a problem with English, But Math and Science), or foreign languages, Do not take it with FLVS, because my experience with FLVS in those subjects could be summed up as "Throwing tons of information at you, and expecting you to make heads and tails of it". While some of the teachers are very nice, and will bend over backwards to help you and get you finished with their class, there are others who will give you the cold shoulder.

That being said, a few classes I would recommend are English (My experience with High School English, more specifically 12th grade English, has been amazing!), Criminal Justice, Law, and Forensic Science for some 'fun' classes. Even if you have no interests in those fields as a future career, they are all very fun, you learn about all kinds of fun stuff, AND they are all easy A's.

And on the flipside of that coin, a few classes I would highly NOT recommended taking through FLVS are any kind of math (I had particularly bad experiences with 7th grade math and high school algebra, but the geometry is OK), Any kind of science (Earth Space Science was a so-so experience, but the chemistry class kicked my butt, and God Bless my teacher for being there when I needed her!), and Latin.
