After a recent trip to Las Vegas, I decided the best thing to recover would be a trip to a spa for some relaxation and a massage. Upon my arrival at beyond wrapture, I was informed that the spa had been impacted by a flood approximately a month prior. The gal greeting me was surprised that I hadn t been informed of this when I booked the appointment. Not concerned about it at this point, I was led into the back to change and get ready for my spa service. Due to the extensive renovations that were happening, the spa was quite cold, there was cardboard taped on the floors for trades walking back-and-forth and plastic hung over many of the walls. The bathroom had the lower foot of drywall Cut out, I assume due to water damage, and while no one could see me, I could definitely hear everyone on the other side and vice versa. The spa was barely at a level of functioning condition. It s not to say that I wouldn t have booked a service with them, however, I feel that with the spot in the state a significant discount should ve been given on services. My sports massage was over $120 and since it wasn t with an RMT, that was completely out of pocket and not through insurance.

The reason that I am giving Beyond Wrapture a rating of two is that Narisa, My massage practitioner, gave a great deep tissue massage. Well it wasn t relaxing, she did have very strong hands and pressure which is what I was looking for in a massage. I m pretty sure the massage table had been set up in the shower area which again lead to the whole experience not being particularly relaxing. I also want to acknowledge the fact that the spa was accommodating as my flight back ended up getting canceled and they were very helpful trying to help me organize a new time. Also, the infrared sauna that I was in for 15 minutes before massage helped to keep me warm for the duration of the time that I was there. Unfortunately, from this experience, I don t think that this is a place that I will go back to and won t recommend it to others.
