As an Englishman I was very surprised to see things like the old S E 5 and other English and French aircraft in the origins of flight and WW1 area.
Much of the museum is staffed by volunteer ex servicemen and women and their knowledge is exemplary, they take great pleasure in sharing their knowledge and if they find out you are English many of them will recount how they were stationed in the UK at some point.
The displays cover everything from the very earliest aircraft to the Space Shuttle and many of the exhibits are hands on including a shuttle landing simulator.
There is no charge to enter the museum and the refreshments are good and very reasonably priced.
If you get the chance do go, we spent around 6 hours there and covered less than half of the museum in any detail.
