This review is going to sound dramatic but I really do love this place that much. I can never eat at a different Italian place without pining for Salerno s. This place is an iconic staple for my family. They ve catered my family members birthdays, both my siblings weddings and have been our go-to dinner place for years. It s always been owned by the same people and many of the servers, hosts, etc. have been working there for as long as we ve been going there (aka forever). The food is incredible. You know it s good when the free bread and oil they bring out even blows your hair back. Their house salad made me believe in vegetables as a child. Their pizzas are amazing. Thin crusts are just the vehicle for the best sauces, cheeses and toppings you ll ever taste. Lasagna night is a delight. Deann s cannelloni is universally beloved (ordered half Alfredo, half succa sauce). Their spaghetti and meatball is just plain old good and right. Everything is made from classic, family recipes. I m a good cook and could make most of this stuff on my own but I could never replicate the distinct flavors of Salerno s.
