Last week someone working on a furnace opened the basement door and triggered the alarm. I was outside in the garage. He came through the house to me, explained what happened, I went all the way back down and deactivated the alarm. I told him: Watch , they'll call in a minute. Nobody did.
Today, I did the test, triggered the alarm , waited with ear plugs for a minute or so and deactivated it.
I called ADT , and was told that the alarm was on for 5 seconds, then 3 seconds, that is why they did not call. Completely untrue, I told them I would switch to another provider. The lady on the phone was cort and quick to transfer me to customer service to cancel my protection. I told her to hold off because I had to sign with another provider. Which I am surely going to do in the next day or so. It never happened before, when they were not Telus.
What's the point of having an alarm system if bit does nothing and customer service either lies or has incorrect readouts?
