Palazzo Geiringer (the building that houses the headquarters of Assicurazioni Generali) was opened to the public on the occasion of one of FAI's regular appointments. I cannot say that I was enthusiastic about what I saw: the palace has lost that breath and the magniloquence of other similar buildings, when the grand staircase was removed during a renovation. The interiors are heavily reworked and little remains of the original furniture. However, it was an interesting visit and the FAI volunteers were perfect, but the building itself has not much to offer.
