I just moved to a 1 br apt in the 1st floor.of a house. Before that the house was being renovated so landlord was paying for the full house. Had heavy machinery and heat on 24/7. The light bill was at most 150. I moved on feb 3rd. The meter reading from the 3rd until the 25th shows that my light bill is 551. I was in a family shelter before so i didnt even had any tvs, lamps, microwave when i moved in for at least 2 weeks. Understandably i was in shock. I called and costumer service don't know how to answer any of my questions. If im being charged for the whole house even tho its supposed to be the 1st floor only. What would they do and if the reading is incorrect what are they going to do with this bill amount, nothing. The most she offered to send someone to check the meter and ask him whatever questions i have. How a 1 br apt with 1 fridge. 1 tv. 2 lamps (cause living room and bedroom dont have light bulbs in the ceiling) consumed 551 in less than a month? Smdh
