Sparkling wine was more than decent. My objection lies in the shabby treatment and condescending attitude of the tour guide, Esther. She very pointedly asked me, What do you expect to learn here. Well, damn, having visited vineyards all over the world, I wasn t necessarily looking to learn anything in particular, other than seeing how this vineyard produces its wine. If she had posed the question to the group as a whole, perhaps this might not have been so inappropriate. Moreover, when I informed her there was a tasting station and machine upstairs, Esther said I was looking at an ATM. Really? Again, I m an oenophile...I know an automated tasting machine when I see one. Beautiful views, but I shall not return.
