Spoke to Janis yesterday and I was not satisfied with my service as a job seeking client. She told me I could not get to my dreams and I should not bother to seek a Public Relations or Human Resources career. Janis laughed at me when I told her my expected salary level was 45,000-65,000 per year with 2 years of administrative experience. She told me my expected salary level is not possible and laughed over the phone. She also implied I should go back to school when I should not have to. Janis also said that they only consider applicants in the area and that none of her clients would want to look at me. I feel uncomfortable and discouraged with my job search with recruiters due to this experience. Will not recommend this agency to any of my friends, I am not trying to personally bash her. My needs were not addressed as a client to find a prospective employer. I thought recruiters were suppose to help you when you are seeking a career switch. The experience left me doubting myself when I have a college degree.
