We frequent ButcherBlock multiple times a year. We always go around Valentines Day/my birthday, as they are right by each other. We went on 2/10/18 and arrived around 6:30. The host stated there was a 25min wait. While we were waiting we noticed multiple open tables. We noticed several groups of people coming into the restaurant and the host seated them right away. When I had put our name on the list there was only three names ahead of us. While we waited... a group of three females came in to the restaurant and the host goes yes, we just had a table open up and we will seat you . By this time my husband and I debated on going elsewhere. The host came up and goes I m going down the list, it should be about 5ish minutes . (It took another 10mins before he came back yet again saying it should be one more minute a table JUST opened). We counted FIVE parties were sat before us. And the table that was empty the entire time we were there was sat RIGHT BEFORE US. When we finally got sat there was slight confusion between the two servers on who would get our table. The server came over and right off the bat said I m so busy!! Such a busy night!! ....... like it was going to be an excuse if things took long or if she took longer to get around to us and check on us. Our food was delicious as usual. But the service was definitely lacking. It was one of the longest visits we ve had at your restaurant.... even on one of your busier nights ...I wrote on your contact us page either that night when we got home or the very next day. Although the food was good the experience did not sit well with us. Lastly, after I wrote the experience on your website, not even an acknowledgement was given or any apology. I would have at least expected a reply back but there was nothing. Hmm....
UPDATE*** Contacted the manager around 3pm today (2/19) Just a bit of advice...if you are going to tell people to contact you, lets have a name to contact instead of saying just to contact the restaurant number during business hours... the manager I talked with had NO clue what was going on, therefore I had to re-state the experience I had...this now being the THIRD time... and she stated the Contact Us portion of your website is sending the comments somewhere, she doesn't even know where!!! So maybe you should put a note on your site that states that feature isn't working properly until you get it fixed.
