Long time Florida resident but first visit to Animal Kingdom. I was particularly impressed by the Pandora, the World of Avatar section. I truly felt I had been transported to a surreally beautiful alien planet. The bioluminescent river ride was magical. My biggest complaint are the prices. It's bad enough to pay $25 for the lowest parking rate. And to pay $109 for a guest pass for 1 day's admission. But $9.50 for one plain all beef hotdogs in a bun with a tiny bag of chips? I can accept the parking and admission , but we are not allowed to bring in our own food and forced to pay Disney prices if we need to eat or drink inside the park. Disney should reduce the cost of food and beverages for their captive audience. I don't know how parents with families can afford to bring their kids here. I still cannot get over my $9.50 hotdog! I was really hungry after spending 5 hours in the park, and that's all I could afford after paying $134 for one day's admission and parking. I never got any souvenirs; couldn't afford any after that hotdog. It tasted fine yet the price left a bad taste, if you know what I mean. I don't think I will ever go back unless I win the lottery. Back to the positives: all staff members that I encountered were professional and friendly, all toilets that I used worked, there were hand cleaning stations and hand sanitizer everywhere, protective face masks were worn by all staff and required to be worn by all guests.
