I first came to hospital on the 20th of May to see the consultant, My appointment time was 10.40am I was seen by the consultant at 10.42 . He was so kind and caring and said will you please go for an X ray and come back to see me, so off we went to X ray thinking we would have to wait for ages, but never had time to sit down, was taken in straight away. Went back to see Mr Shenilika orthopaedic specialist who then looked at my X rays and said ok we can do this and that , is that OK, I told him I was going on holiday in September and wanted to be able to walk. He told me no worries we will operate before then. Go and get your pre op now, got my appointment for that for the 11th June this week, before we left for the hospital I received a phone call from his secretary telling me they had a cancellation on the 20th June was this convenient.

Came for my pre op which was very good great kind staff. The blood department was packed out to the door thought we would be there hours, 40 minutes we were told, so went for a coffee and they called me for my blood test.

In all my years I have never attended a hospital that was so good and if the powers that be, decide to close Huddersfield it will be a great loss. Thank you so much for your well run hospital
