Assuming this agency represents tolls on SR 528, they are ripping off unsuspecting tourists who happen on the toll road entrance near the International Airport, near the Sand Lake Rd. exit!! The last time I visited Orlando, this particular toll booth was manned and, if you didn't have the correct change, you would simply enter the "Change Needed" lane. Upon my departure on December 27, from my daughter's house during my recent Christmas visit, I was returning my rental car and after exiting Sand Lake Rd., and upon entering the SR 528 toll road, I encountered an unmanned toll booth (that was previously manned) and was presented with a choice of either paying with exact change or using the iPass? lane. Since I was unaware that this booth was now unmanned, I did not have the correct change, nor did I purchase an iPass option from the rental car company; not knowing what to do, I drove through the "exact change" lane. I just discovered to my extreme dismay that the rental car has charged me a fee of over $20 for this toll. This fee is totally unjustified and the toll authority should NOT be charging unsuspecting visitors, especially those using rental cars, a fee when these visitors are unaware that correct change is required to enter the toll roads. Absolutely outrageous, Central Florida Expressway Authority!! In good conscience, I should be reimbursed for this unjustifiable charge!
