I really can't say enough positive things about these guys. Let me preface this by saying that I was originally opposed to adding HVAC to my 100-plus year old twin. We were told by a few companies that it was an extremely difficult job. One flat-out told us it was impossible. But, thanks to my wife's urging we decided to get the opinion of one more crew, and just under a month later I write this while sitting in constant 74 degree bliss...in mid-August.
Matt, the sales rep set the tone right away. Within five minutes of meeting me he had a price sheet in my hand and explained the different options. Matt preaches "total transparency" and he means it. I never had to worry about these guys holding something back or misrepresenting their price or service. Matt was always super easy to get a hold of and had no problem calling back late, stopping by after 7:00 in the evening if it was more convenient for us, and just generally going out of his way to be accessible as possible. He's the kind of no-BS, stand-up guy you dream about dealing with on projects this large and with this much money involved.
The rest of the crew is great, too. We had the same three installer for all four days that it took to complete the job. They kept me apprised of (literally) every step of the process and got my sign-off on even the smallest details before going through with the work. They cleaned up as best they could (it was a messy job) and were consummate pros. The owner, Nate, even dropped by on the first day to check things out and make sure everything was copacetic.
The job itself? Awesome. The HVAC unit is quiet and works like a charm. Although I was initially skeptical about how much we really "needed" HVAC, I'm happy we took the plunge, and happier still that we found Unique!
