Review of Grand Bohemian Hotel Orlando

I will start off by saying this hotel is stunning,...

I will start off by saying this hotel is stunning, and the location is great if your looking to get to a lot of placed by foot, as you do not need a car. I did previously stay in this hotel for one night to check out the accommodations which was not so bad at all, since I booked this room 11mo prior to our wedding. Just a few weeks ago I booked a suite for wedding day hair and make up to be done, upon arrival (day before wedding) i specifically asked for a considerably late check out or even a meeting room to get hair and make up done as I explained that photo/video will not be here until 2pm, and did not want to be rush to leave the room, I was told this info will be placed in my account and not to worry, and they did not have a meeting room available. The day of my wedding in the middle for hair and make up I was told by staff that we had to vacate the room as we were only to stay in there until 12:30pm. I explained to the staff that we have 3 people doing hair and make up as well as 12 people getting their hair and make up done and there is no way we will be finished. At this point I was offered a meeting space... which I was told the day prior was not available.... After 45mins of arguments we were told we can stay until 1:30p, which in turn all the bridesmaids had to round up all the belongings of 12 girls and quickly place everything in the new room (where I was staying the rest of the weekend). The day after the wedding, we asked housekeeping on 4 different occasions to please come and clean the room. Upon our last return which was about 2-2:30am (now Sunday morning), we came back into a room that was NEVER cleaned, upon calling down to the front desk we were accused of having the smell of marijuana in our room (per the housekeeper) and that is why the room was not cleaned. We asked if a manager/supervisor had came up with the house keeper to confirm the suspicion, and we were told NO, but the front desk was completely rude and belittled us the entire conversation and made it seem as we were 100% guilty. I asked for a manager to come up to the room, which was I was denied, and had to take it upon myself to go down to the main lobby and speak to someone (night supervisor). Upon arriving back to my room not only was a gentleman there from house keeping but also security, which they confirmed "NO SMELLS OF ANY ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE". And we were told some of the housekeeping staff will say things like this, so they don't have to clean the room, as it is policy if the room has visible trace of illegal substances or odor they are not to touch the room. My husband and I had to wait until after house keeping was done cleaning the room (after 3:30am) so we can get to bed. The next morning when I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that he/she was on the phone and unable to speak at the time, I told the front desk I would wait (waited for 30mins) and not once did anyone come out to discuss my concerns, as the manager kept sending over his front desk staff to talk to me. If this was any other weekend, I don't think i'd be THIS upset, but the weekend of our wedding, and this is the events we will have to remember. Unfortunately, after all the money we spent at this hotel for 4 days and the treatment we received, it is safe to say we will no longer be guests at this hotel.

It has been 2.5 weeks since my stay, and I was told I would be receiving a call about an expensive item that was left behind in the suite i was forced out of the day of my wedding.. it is safe to say that I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY CALLS from the hotel about my item that was left behind...I guess more money down the drain at this hotel.
