Emailed Jenkinson's and posted on their facebook page regarding an incident on their beach in June 15th, couldn't be bothered to address it. I was almost impaled by one of their rental umbrellas on June 15th as the young man who was in charge of setting up the umbrella had no idea how to properly do it. I witnessed 2 people rent umbrellas, the kid set them up and not more than 5 minutes later those people had to remove the umbrella from the sand because it was so poorly inserted. Needless to say it was super windy that day and while Jenkinson's should have made a decision to protect its patrons and NOT rent their 30 pound umbrellas they didn't and said umbrella went airborne and flew at least 20 feet in the air before it came crashing down into my beach chair. Had my friend not pulled me out of the way I would have had that heavy wooden spike go right through me. When I asked the badge checker to contact a supervisor/management that request also went ignored. Apparently all Jenkinson's cares about is $$. As a patron of that beach for 16 years prior to you acquiring it I have never once witnessed a commercial umbrella go flying like yours did. Please properly train your employees on how to put a rental umbrella into the sand. While I was lucky this time someone else may not be and then you'll have a huge law suit on your hands. Nobody paying customer should have to leave the beach because they're afraid to be impaled by your umbrella!
