Had a problem with my phone while traveling; said it detected moisture and wouldn't charge even though it had never gotten wet. Stopped at a Best Buy since we buy our phones there and he said it was common with these phones and only choices were new phone or cordless charger. Certainly did not want a new phone so I got the cheapest cordless charger for $50. Looked up the problem later at a hotel and found out all that's needed is to clean ports with alcohol and reboot. Made made angry that the phone salesman couldn't take the time to check and just wanted to sell me something. We've purchased our Verizon phones there for years but never again. I called the store to suggest they look into a problem before saying a purchase is the only fix and the lady wouldn't listen; just kept telling me I could return the charger. That's not the point.
