The hotel looks very nice and is very clean for its age. I was told at check-in that they're planning to renovate soon, which surprised me.

The indoor pool area is large and designed to be family friendly. There's a section that is only a couple feet deep, complete with small water slide so young kids can join the fun. The main area has a large waterpark style slide for adults and grown kids. The hot tub is fairly large, the only drawback is that children are allowed in the tub if they're with a parent. So there is no "adult sanctuary" anywhere in the pool area.

We had a whirlpool room, which was spacious and had a faux fireplace. The bathroom was large, but lacked its own tub, even though the shower was definitely the same footprint as a standard tub.

The attached restaurant has a decent selection of housemade items. We let them know about an allergy and we had an issue with them incorrectly identifying an item as safe. The manager was apologetic, comped our meal without hesistation and invited us back for an additional free meal. She also said she would re-train every staff member regarding the extreme importance of handling food allergies properly. I was happy with the way she handled the situation.
