I have never had a more frustrating car buying experience. We visited on a Saturday to see the car we were interested in, at that time they talked briefly about taking our lease in as a trade in. We were not ready to purchase that day, but we sent them the VIN number of our lease so they could give us a more accurate calculation of the value of the lease. We drove back up there the following Monday (almost an hour drive for us) only for them to tell us they didn't want to take the vehicle as a trade. (Or it wouldn't be in our best interest.) Couldn't they have told us that before making the drive, or in the e-mail or phone call communication that occurred during the day on Monday? Games, sales games. Anyway we decided to move forward with the purchase anyway and while we were waiting to sign papers, my husband specifically asked about a second key and we were told it's just locked up in the back office for security purposes, but that we would get 2 keys after everything was all signed. While signing paperwork we were told we would be contacted in about two weeks to come pick up our plates. That never happened. When we completed the paperwork we were then told this particular car only has one key (it was a used car), the sales manager then said that car, since it isn't certified only comes with one key, but after we told him we SPECIFICALLY already asked about that, he said he would try to track down the other key from the previous owner, if not, he would "make it right". A week passed and I got a call from our original sales person saying they could not track down the key, that the sales manager would be ordering us a new one. 2 more weeks passed, I had to call to see where things were with my key and plates, sales person said my key is here, I need to schedule an appointment to get it programmed. Plates were not here, but that I needed to call the title clerk to see where they are. Over the next week I left multiple messages for title clerk and she only called me back when my husband was standing there at the dealership to get my key programmed and he was questioning about the plates. 5 weeks after having my car, I'm then told I need to get an e-check before they can process my plates. I expressed my concern about my temps expiring before I could get an e-check and get my plates processed and in my hands. Title clerk said, no, not a problem, it won't take long. I got my e-check 4 days after talking to title clerk, left her a VM stating it was done, waited 7 more days to hear about my plates, nothing. Finally talked to the person that answers the phone and she was able to find out that my plates were in, and that they could be overnighted to me, and not to my surprise, they finally arrived a day AFTER my temps expired. As for the key, my husband arrived to have it programmed and they told him they had him scheduled for an oil change (when I made the appointment, they specifically checked to make sure the key was there), and they didn't have the key part, just the fob. They couldn't cut the key at that location because they don't have the laser cutter. But, when the key was finally cut, they sent it to us.
I just can't say enough how frustrating it's been to obtain a key and plates. Small things yes, but they become big things when it's like pulling teeth to get them. I will say my sales person was pretty prompt at responding when I text her, and the person that answers the phones there was able to get me answers.
I will NOT be servicing my car there, nor will I buy another car from there.
