I had applied to 3 different temp agencies to try and jumpstart a career. Two of which wanted to send me to a collections position. Nothing against collections but when you specifically say you don't want to do it they should listen. That is what Selective Staffing did....Listen!! I worked with Laura and she listened and took notes about everything I said and before I walked out the door she had a place in mind to potentially send me too. Before I even heard back from that job she let me know of a possible plan b if it were to fall through. She made me feel like she was looking for jobs just for me!! Every e-mail or phone call question I had was answered within an hour everytime...and I had many. What people need to understand is that a staffing agency is the middle man, they can lead you in a direction but they cant seal the deal for you, thats where you have to come in. If you are motivated and educated they will find you something. If you think that you are going to sit back and wait for them to call you with a start date, your going to have a bad experience everytime. Be proactive these days, there are hundreds of other people that are going for your job no matter if it is temporary or full time.
