It is hard to choose the right hotel in NYC that you will feel comfortable in without missing anything that you can have gotten in a different hotel for the same or lower price. This is why my review is very honest as I am hoping to help other people deciding if this hotel is good enough for their needs. Why? Bc this hotel might be OK for an American citizen coming for a 1-2 days business but not OK for turists or a couple. Well I was quite disappointment rather than satisfied. This hotel provided a bed, roof over my head, shower, toiletaries INCLUDING quetips/swab and towels. What I was very disappointed in was that the room had NO complimentary water nor tea nor coffee like the rest of the worlds hotels has. Even 2 star hotel have such needs so this is why I will give this hotel 3 stars. I called the receptionist and I asked for tea and they brought to my room 1 teabag, 1 lemon slice, a spoon of honey and a bill charged 7 USD for this tea. I had no option but to pay and was hoping it would be a magical tea but it wasn t. It was not possible to open any window so I would leave the AC on around 75 F/24 C. Every night my throat would get so dry and I was missing drinking water hence why I ordered the tea. Very annoying that I had to deal with that for the 5 days I was staying! Breakfast was nice. I had 1 XL bathrobe for 2 people staying in my room. When I asked for a size small I was told they had only one size so I guess it is made for an average american size. Hotel is great walking distance to most things but I found out it would be better to stay in East Village as most nice events were happening there. Cleaning lady was very pleasant! I did not see why they had hired 2 men to stand by the entrance 24/7 but wouldn t open the 2 heavy doors you had to pass to enter/leave even for a lady like me. In general the staff was great and very friendly!
