Stayed for one night here, we booked it because of...

Stayed for one night here, we booked it because of the pool/hottub being open. We had no idea it needed to be reserved same day but we asked the front desk girls if we could and were told no. We needed to book with someone specific during certain hours. We returned at that time and were told they were fully booked. Shouldn't the front desk staff be able to tell us that instead of us wasting time coming back to try and book only to be told it was booked up? .... Such a waste.
It just seems that accountability for this issue is lacking and the front desk girl couldn't be helpful but I also felt like she couldn't of cared less about it which tells me she has been dealing with people being cranky about it for a while. This, Coupled with no tub in our room made this stay leaving much to be desired. I realize its Covid times but that is exactly why communication is necessary. If I had know all of this beforehand I could have adjusted my expectations for the weekend as apposed to just being disappointed. I don't know that I will stay here again.
