My mother-in-law is 88 years old and suffers from chronic lung problems. She was admitted through the ER after spending 11 hours waiting on Covid results before given a room. She spent the next 5 days in the hospital. She was discharged today and I was literally in shock when two nurses brought her to my car. She couldn't walk, could barely stand, and was disoriented. She had no business being discharged, but this is what happens when you ask to get Hospice involved. As soon as they heard "Hospice" the doctor and staff gave up on her. Sent her home to die regardless of her condition. Despicable!
