Had taken my 57 Chevy there for several years after the first visit time check for engine exhaust smoke after I had first bought the 57 classic. They checked it and said that since the engine rebuild in the 90s the new rings hadn't never seated as it was in storage and used for parades. They drove it to Comfort and back which fixed the smoking. Three years passed and I had it in only 1 other time. Now over a year ago, I took it in and a new hire was given my collectable. I had asked for a new fuel filter and to check the floats in the carburetor. The mechanic called saying I needed a complete engine rebuild. I told him that was impossible as it had only been in three Boerne parades since they setting of the rings and to not crack the heads. He did crack the head gasket, ruined the idle, over charged me, and lied and I'll never go back. It's hard to find an honest mechanic.
