If you are an expectant mother do yourself a favor...

If you are an expectant mother do yourself a favor and find another hospital.
I delivered my baby month ago at advocate Lutheran General Hospital Park Ridge.
hospital was not organized at all. The day I went to deliver my baby they didn t had enough nurses they were all on call, the worst part was they only had 1 anesthesiologist for the whole hospital. He was assisting other women I had to wait 3 hours from arrival time to get my epidural. The worst!
Nurses mixed up my babies birth length and it wasn t matching in papers until I noticed and told her that it isn t what doctor told me when she was born which was 20 instead they were going to write it 18 in her documents, I know it isn t much difference that s what nurse told me but for me it matters.
Doctor was supposed to add my baby to my insurance after she was born they told me they did. I found out they didn t after we went to her 1 month check up. It s really frustrating because there s a limited time you can add your baby to your health plan after that it s just complicated and I didn t know baby wasn t enrolled for a whole month.
Worst part is, on my discharge paper hospital put a note I had to go back to the hospital for check up after 2 days being released from the hospital. I arrived as I was instructed. Very strange because they usually tell you to come back in 6 weeks for postpartum check up instead I went after 3 days delivering my baby. They made me do a urine test they made me completely undress, Spent hour and a half at the appointment, doctor was asking questions that doesn t make any sense, short story long they thought I was still pregnant and went to labor and delivery as a false alarm!!! How?! Scariest part doctor was going to do a Pap smear test on me right before she found out I delivered and I was t pregnant anymore.
4 weeks later hospital is calling me and trying to schedule a Pap smear appointment again in a few days. Are you kidding?! Do doctors even care?! it hasn t been 6 weeks yet after I delivered and I still hadn t my 6 week postpartum check up.That s what I told the nurse but she keep saying they have an open date in 3 days. I don t get it. How are you going to perform a procedure without checking and making sure that I m ok to go for Pap smear.
Advocate Lutheran hospital proved they are not organized they don t care for their patients and I wouldn t recommend to anyone trust their health to unprofessionals
