I was one of the people willing to stand in line this morning for Hamilton tickets when it plays at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis later this year. I admit that I wasn t really looking forward to the ticket buying experience. Having gone through it, however, I must say that it was so well organized and the staff was so friendly and helpful that it turned out to be a stress-free (even fun!) experience. There were enough staff scheduled to work, especially at the ticket purchasing stations, that the line moved more quickly than I anticipated once the clock struck 10:00. In fact, I could not think of any way they could have improved the experience from my perspective. I could definitely see that this was not their first rodeo. It was very nice to see staff in Hamilton t-shirts (and I m inspired to buy one even though I m generally not a souvenir t-shirt purchaser). I m looking forward to seeing Hamilton AND many other performances offered by Hennepin Theater Trust.
