I am appalled by the management staff at the Hyatt Centric in Chicago. I had surgery at Northwestern and was guaranteed a discounted rate at the Hyatt Centric based on the Hyatt's agreement with the hospital. The manager on duty was extremely unprofessional and rude to me and my elderly mother. The manager was unwillingly to allow the discount I was promised even though Expedia also called her to get the discount approved. After having major surgery and staying at the Hyatt for 6 nights, the last thing I wanted was to be charged more than I was suppose to be. However, the worst part of my experience was the callous nature in which the manager handled our situation. It was uncalled for and in my option she should be reprimanded in some way. I will be returning to Chicago 4 more times in the next 2 months, and I will NEVER stay at the Hyatt Centric in Chicago again because of this manager. I suggest you explore other accommodations if you are currently seeking a hotel in this area. The Hyatt Centric doesn't uphold their agreements and obviously they don't hire staff or management that value or appreciate Hyatt customers.
