Ive been with SCMH for about a year. In the beginning councling was going great with "Jenna" she was a little young to be councling me but I decided to give her a chance and we got along great. She opened my eyes to many obstacles and barriers. Then one day she told me she was leaving SCMH and that i would get a new councler. After a few weeks went by "Natasha" called me to set up an appointment. Natasha was very inspiring to me but our sessions were short lived after our 3rd session Natasha said I would be getting a new councler and that was back in September just before the hurricane hit Broward County. Here it is November and I still have not received a new counselor. Ive received one phone call from a lady there at SCMH and that was almost 2 weeks ago. I informed her at that time that I needed a counselor asap because I could not wait any longer. Still nothing!! I dont believe SCMH cares about my mental state/health. Im starting to look elsewhere as this Agency doesnt really care! It is now December 5th and still no communication/ follow up from this agency.
