One of the several beautiful castles that I've visited. The grounds are immaculately maintained and lush green. Of course there is a gift shop and toilets.

But this report is about the castle. So here goes. As most castles, this one also has rooms that lead on to more rooms and like so many others, most rooms are still not open to the public. But those that are, reveal the opulent lifestyle of the people who lived here.

In the 16th century, King Henry VIII used it as a residence for one of his several wives Catherine of Aragon. Lady Baillie was the last person who lived here and left it to the National Trust along with 500 acres of land.

If you can, do visit this castle.
