Review of Nantahala Outdoor Center

Went for out second trip down the Nantahala today ...

Went for out second trip down the Nantahala today and ziplining. We did a single ducky guided trip at 915am. On our trip we had 4 others, 2 of whom had never kayaked before, let alone on whitewater. The guide was knowledgable, but several times showed more concern with his lunch break than the rafters. After making it to the beach before the falls, we stopped, and were given a route to follow the guide. Unfortunately, the non experienced rafters clogged the falls and several were forced to go around on what can only be described as a child's slide to the bottom. With the amount of rafters, solo kayakers, and this group, the inexperienced made the event frustrating, and not worth the money. I certainly did not pay to go around the apex of the trip, and when I spoke to the guide about my frustration, I was greeted with, at least its lunch time.

As for the zip lining tour at 130, the guides helped the inexperienced, and encouraged those who had zipped before. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and made the afternoon great.

If I could give 3 stars for the guided tour I would, maybe 2. You only get one chance on the water that day, and this group blew it.
