So, I ordered a desk and office chair from their ...

So, I ordered a desk and office chair from their Next Day items last Thursday. The chair was delivered as expected on the Friday separate to the desk. When I called to check who was delivering the desk I was told that it was actually out of stock.... This had not been reflected on the website and they were more than happy to let me place the order and take my money. I was advised that delivery was likely to be Monday, but told that I would be called back by close of business to confirm this. Also I was told that I would not be charged the next day price and would be refunded the difference. That phone call never happened and neither has the refund yet. So I emailed in a complaint; oh and no desk on Monday.

I eventually got a call from the company that stocks the desks (yeh furniture at work don t actually appear to stoke anything, just order through wholesalers for you) and was told it would be delivered today, Wednesday.

This was sent via DX Freight delivery service from Crewe. Tracking said all day it was out for delivery but it hasn t showed up.... Oh and I ve still received no reply or acknowledgement of my email complaint from Furniture at Work.

Overall, appalling service from a company that I certainly won t use again. I would urge you to avoid this company and spend your hard earned cash elsewhere!

I awarded 2 stars because at least the chair turned up on time!
