So we commute to Liberty Paintball (Today - 10/27/...

So we commute to Liberty Paintball (Today - 10/27/18) by MTA Metro - North. For those that are going by Metro - North, please keep in mind that in addition to the 30+ minute walk, you have to walk even more and uphill this time. This is something not listed on the website. For us since it was raining today, it was not looking good since we had to walk a lot and now walk uphill. Fortunately there was a shuttle bus BUT that shuttle bus was not for Liberty Paintball, it was for Thunder Ridge. The driver was just kind enough to take us to the paintball site. When we got there, I noticed lockers. The website does NOT mention lockers in the facility but there are some on site. So do carry your own lock. Also, the ID situation. The site does not accept NYC ID, school or work ID. Bring a State ID (NYS or other state ID). If you forget, someone with a state ID can cover you (weird method). Furthermore, when you fill out the form (upon arrival - which states your name and what you will be purchasing that day - admission and gear), PLEASE PAY SEPRATE unless everyone in the group agrees to have one person pay for everything and then just receive payment from everyone (Venmo and Zelle). The employees there got annoyed with the confusion but they are there to help - CUSTOMER SERVICE guys! Another critical point was the timing. If you reserve by 12:30 PM, be there an hour earlier because if you have a big group and arrive minutes before you reservation, the employees will try to rush you to get ready. This can get CHAOTIC real fast (especially if it s your first time playing outdoor paintball). For restrooms, there were no toilet paper to be found. On a different note, we got to meet Chris and Nick (Referees). Both were very informative in the basics before playing and what to do when we were out in the field. When you go there, ask for both Chris and Nick. Now, with respect to the equipment, invest in thermal googles than an upgrade on the gun. Having foggy goggles isn t pretty. The jumpsuit is recommended (especially if you don t want your clothes to get ruin), a harness and PAINTBALLS. The rentals DO NOT INCLUDE the paintballs. It s best to invest in the 1000 or 2000 Paintballs package. These paintballs do run out and majority will drop their paintballs. Last note, we got to play outdoors, even in the rain. So do wear comfortable clothes and bring extra clothing. It can get real ugly. - H
