I sadly have had a nightmarish experience with this store in particular and guitar center as a company. I purchased a very mislabeled and poorly inspected guitar from their website's used section. After misplacing it for over a week in shipping, it shows up in horrific condition. Broken strings tied together and put back on the guitar, the internal wiring completely gutted out and damaged, a fret inlay missing, two broken pick-ups and pitted tone knobs. This thing was about as far away from the "excellent condition" it was supposed to be in as it could be. This was only the beginning of my nightmare sadly. I then had to check it in to their repair center at the Fort Collins store and have now been waiting 47 days and still going for my guitar to be repaired and returned to me. Mind you the work that needed to be done after their repair techs 3 week initial inspection of my guitar was a simple rewire of the pickups that both ended up being bad and had to be ordered. How is it one, acceptable to the employees and the manager of this dreadful establishment to have this type of neglect and unprofessionalism seen as okay and justified?Second, how does it possibly take anyone that long to do such a simple repair? Especially in the case of the customer being wrongfully sold a defective product! I find it funny that even all the reviews that are five stars are people saying they went in, got something and walked out and mention that the staff was "slow" or "neglectful" but helpful once they finally came around. I agree with these reviews and would add a few more colorful choice words if I could to that list describing their employees. I highly suggest that you visit a wonderful and locally owned store 2 miles west of this Walmart of instruments called Spotlight Music. They have a great staff that actually knows how to repair guitars fast and with professional quality and have great knowledge of their products and their conditions. Please for your own sake and the sake of your future instrument you will love. Go there and support those wonderful people instead.
