This place is the epitome of terrible customer service. This review wouldn't let me pick zero stars, but that is all they deserve. Our rep Jay Hala has zero idea of how to deal with a customer. Zero communication, changing his mind mid way through a claim, contradicting himself on 4 different occasions, as well as at least twice was caught in a lie and would not come clean. We went months without even a phone call back. He brought in "his people" to do the restoration part, we didn't even receive all of our items back. We were put out of our house for 6 weeks, and received zero per diem for food at all, as well, we provided original receipts for items damaged in the fire and he still used "his people" to give a phoney low quote on replacement so they didn't have to pay us out as much. Just brutal from start to finish. Look anywhere else if you need to have insurance, SMI definitely doesn't have it figured out.
