I am so glad we entered this hostelry because we found a quiet corner to sit and relax with a bowl corn chowder soup and artisan crusty bread. Just the right light lunch after doing the market on High Street and Tunsgate Quarter.

Knowing Guildford of old, talking 60's to 80's, many changes have occurred and many for the good, and 'memory lane' tends to bring back most of the good in our lives.

Back in the March Hare the atmosphere was good, quiet and with a mix of business and family peoples. Tuesday, we were told by Tom, our host, is a quieter day of the week, which suited our mood and the imagination of a very busy well organised pub flowed in and out of mind as we supped the soup.

So yes, we will return another day, maybe for a larger lunch, another Loxhill ale and coffee with cream for my wife. Thanks Tom for your welcome and continued good service, we enjoyed it all.
