Positive: very nice location on the northern edge of the Veluwe, much to discover in the area including fantastic cycling routes through the forests and heaths. The hotel is also very spacious with different buildings around the central building with the reception. Friendly and helpful staff. Ample and free parking.
Spacious room. Free catered breakfast except for a few details.
To improve: the rooms and other buildings could use a freshening up. WiFi is free and in principle available everywhere, but rather slow and not always stable. The pool looks nice and it is nice to lie there, but the water is too cold to be really pleasant, especially for smaller children (on a warm summer day it was already like that, so perhaps colder in the spring and autumn). Last but not least, the rooms can be a lot better for a 4-star hotel: no safe, no fridge / minibar, no air conditioning ... and opening the windows in the evening and at night is not such a good idea because there are no mosquito nets, giving mosquitoes free rein.
