I own a flower shop in the area, and delivered flowers for a bridal shower this morning. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and very elegant!
However, your event coordinator needs more training, or you need a new person in that position . Everything that could be wrong was wrong. Things that were in the contract were not provided until asked for several times. As a florist, I was particularly appalled by the hydrangea vases that are provided for each table. The flowers had obviously been used for many other events this weekend, and were half dead . That could be because there was so little water in the vases! I understand being cost effective but that was unacceptable. We asked for a few extra vases for flowers we brought, and they were brought out filthy dirty. We asked to have them cleaned. They disappeared, and when we asked, AGAIN, they were brought back out dirty, just as they had been! And all of this from a very unfriendly person who made no apologies for anything. At least try and be pleasant in your position as a representative of the venue! In summary, I will say again that the venue is beautiful, but I believe that your coordinator definitely left a bad impression on MANY people this morning!
