As others have said, my insurance was billed almost $8000 for a genetic test for my autistic son, which I thought was part of the doctor appointment. The company emailed me paperwork to appeal "if necessary." I immediately told them not to do the test if there would be any cost to me, because I can't afford it. I was assured there would be no cost, this was just the process. My insurance paid $5400, and I received a bill for $1400. I contacted them and received a call from Jamie. I sent her all email correspondence I had. She said she would get back to me. I spoke to the doctor 3 weeks later who said he would contact them because they receive "white glove service" for sending all patients there (confirming my initial reaction that this is a scam in which doctors receive a kick back from). Jamie called that day, but I missed the call, since I was on the way home from the doctor who is an hour away. I called back, and still have not heard back. But I did receive another notice today that my bill remains unpaid. They completely take advantage of families of children with disabilities. My result: normal. I am serious.
