Went to school here for electrical engineering but got an internship with the civil engineering department. The internship ended up being a joke ran by a man who was very petty. When I tried to talk to the head of the civil engineering department he ended up being equally as petty. It soured my idea of what an engineer should be. Now I am 100k in debt and I despise engineering. They are also very good at losing paperwork at the bursar's office and financial aid office. The one good thing was working for the school in the machine shop. I learned a lot from the people in that area and they seemed to be the only people with any sense in the whole building. They also never had the supplies needed for the labs. A summary of a day in class at UCD was a quick class where you really didn't learn anything and you would go home and teach yourself. There really was no point in going to class. If one did graduate they may use 5% of what was taught in school in their career. With the abundant access to data in today's society, college is pretty much out of date and irrelevant at this point.
