My mom came to the CPRMC ER on Wednesday after a syncope that was caused by cardiac arrest and significant head trauma from the fall. The anything staff never took a look at her head wound which was bleeding because she is on a blood thinner and she had ruptured her temporal artery. The attending PA never introduced himself but only ordered a CT and EKG. I was trying to get in touch with someone for billing because they are from out of country, I was told that billing would be back at 8 in the Morning....she could be dead by then because of bleeding in the brain that the fall could have caused.... We were told to have a seat on a bed in the hall, where we sat for 2 hours without anyone tending to us because they were "busy". The staff at the desk was cracking jokes and did not look busy at all! We finally discharged ourselves after nearly three hours without having spoken to a doctor. We went to the heart hospital today where they admitted her immediately and implanted a pacemaker. This was the worst care that I have ever seen in my life, borderline negligent!!! I work next door in the medical building and I am appalled by the way they treated us. Shame on you CPRMC, that's why your reputation is so bad...I would have given 0 stars but it didn't let me...
