The birthplace of the civil rights movement is a place I recommend visiting when in Atlanta. So much history in this one location. The home where Martin Luther King Jr can be toured but be prepared to get there early if you want to be able to register for the home tour. The tour is free. There is a museum you can visit, firehouse no. 6 is open too as well as the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church. All areas are free of charge. Bring a bottle of water to keep hydrated as you do a lot of walking through the area.
