I have to say I was pleasantly surprised here. I was warned by my friends not to come here because they're supposed to be really rude and difficult, but I found it to be the opposite.

After being told I couldn't get a visa at China Travel Service because my HK work visa is expiring soon, I came here as a last minute resort. They told me that information is false and that I am definitely eligible for a visa. I only needed a single entry but they approved a 7 year multi-entry visa for me for half the price I was quote at CTS for only 1 entry!!

I did end up waiting for 3 hours total but I didn't make an appointment. They spoke good English and the centre was clean and modern. It's 100% nicer and more efficient than other government offices I've been to in HK (e.g. immigration tower).

They told me the passport photos I brought weren't suitable but there was a passport photo machine just around the corner that took me 2 mins to take extra photos. The staff at the counter waited for me to come back instead of helping the next person.

I'm super happy about the situation and impressed at the efficiency here.
