I was flown into ICU and immediately was taken to surgery I wish I could personally shake the hands of those who were with me in surgery, I lost 11 pints of blood and rather then just doing universal care they went the extra mile to make sure when I woke up the least amount of bad news as possible. The surgeons saved my uterus, and I am so grateful I was in there care. The doctors on team C made sure I was comfortable, in my case I was seen by basically several types of specialists for different types of injuries or conditions I have, who all coordinated together to make sure I was well.
I want to give a special thanks to the OB/NICU team who spent so much extra time doing anything and everything they could do to help me through what I had been through.
After I got out of surgery the nurse Jen who was my night nurse for three days was just perfect. I could tell she loved her job and has so much knowledge. She even played me music from her phone, which for some reason made me feel much more comfortable. I was really scared when I woke up, I had a breathing tube, I couldn't see, and my hands were tied on down as a safety measure for the breathing tube. Jen made me feel safe in her care.
All the nurses I had as I leveled down were really nice and took there jobs seriously. Katie, Amanda and Kaythrn made sure I was comfortable and I could tell they put passion into there work, they were compassionate and kind which is very important. I was in a very tragic situation. They made all the difference.
The unit has a Chaplin which was helpful for me and my mom. The Chaplin was there for my family for comfort and support. He even prayed over my bedside and did the anointing of the sick prayer.
My mom stayed the entire time with me, she was accompanied with a companion tray and was treated kindly with respect and felt welcome.
The head on collision car accident changed my life in a blink of an eye. It was very tragic and sad, but this hospital took care of me. All around, They made me feel truly blessed and cared for. I am so glad I was there. I knew I was safe and in good hands.

The BAD :

The nurse who discharged us was rude, careless didn't explain my discharge papers, she didn't even answer questions I had. She did the absolute least and I was very upset by how I was treated by her. She even told me a personal story about her sister, but it was in a way that made me feel like she was mocking me

The outpatient facilities are lazy and I decided to seek aftercare with different places as they are not nearly what I would expect. The care was very universal and just a waste of time
